It is broad based education within an academic framework specifically directed to prepare its graduates to become exemplary citizen by adhering to code of ethics and professional obligations so as to respond to national aspirations. It also prepares nurses who can make independent decisions in nursing situations, protect the rights of and facilitate individuals and groups in pursuit of health, function in the hospital, community nursing services and conduct research studies in the areas of nursing practice and assume the role of teacher, supervisor and manager in clinical/public health setting.
