An operating theatre (or theatre) is a non-sterile, tiered theater or amphitheater in which students and other spectators could watch surgeons perform surgery. Within the Commonwealth nations, the term is used synonymously with operating room (OR) or operating suite, the modern facility within a hospital where surgical operations are carried out in a sterile environment. The students learn to assist Surgeon( Ortho, Cardio, Plastic, Neuro ENT, Eye & Gen Surgery) in Operation theatre and assist the anaesthetetics , to look after CSSD and also they can able to do surgery. Age 17 and above, 10+2 Passed ( Biology or Math) with minimum 40% of marks
(a) Anatomy & Physiology. (b) Hygiene Nutrion, Nutritional Disease. (c) Biomedical Waste Mgt (d) First Aid. (e) Disaster Mgt. (f) Elementary Nsg. (g) General Pharmacology. (h) Human Relations. (i) Community Health Nursing & Communicable diseases. (j) Hygiene Chemicals and its uses. (k) Equipment management. (l) Care of patient under going surgery(Preand intra operative) after care of Equipment. (m) Anaesthesia drugs, Equipment & special operation theatre tray set up. (n) Infection control in Operation Theatre (o) Role of the Theatre assistant. (p) Surgical procedure and monitoring operation theatre Ethics. (q) Operation theatre techniques. (r) Surgical procedures. (s) Care of patient in emergency.
